    Christmas event season is well and truly here, and we feel grateful to be attending some fantastic festive get-togethers. Yesterday we attended the Dynamic Lincoln lunch at the recently reopened White Heart Hotel. We are proud members of Dynamic Lincoln, a property and construction networking group, and work with many of its members. Thank you to Tim Downing for organising this event for us. We also enjoyed seeing contacts at the Team Lincolnshire Christmas drinks event at the Blue Room The Lawn in the city. A great atmosphere and a pleasure to socialise with such a proactive group who work hard to champion the county.     Alongside partners yesterday, we launched Women in Construction in Lincolnshire (WICIL). Created collaboratively by our MD Sara Boland, Jill MaCarthy at JM Consulting, Nick Worboys at Longhurst Group, Helen Ritchie at Lincoln City Council and Jenna Frudd Willmott dixon, this is a new concept for Lincolnshire which has at its centre education. Although networking and catching up on industry news will be a part of the group’s meetings, the group wants to achieve tangible results in encouraging more younger people into the construction industry. WICIL is all about inspiring members to fulfil their career ambitions and to showcase and develop their skills in a supportive environment. We look forward to welcoming many of you to our events.     It’s already been three weeks since the incredible @nottshotprop event - and we have only just recovered! Hot Property is Nottingham’s biggest annual property and construction charity concert, put on by members of the industry. It has seen more than 100 people take to the stage over its 18 events and has raised more than £343,000 for local children’s charities, helping to create a positive change to many youngsters’ lives. This year the concert raised an incredible £20,000 for @The Television Workshop, a drama group and TV casting resource for young people with a focus on diversity and inclusion. While we go to many sector events, this one is all about music and dancing and fun, all for a good cause. Well done and thank you to the organisers and all the talented (and brave) people who entertain us on the stage. We know it takes months of practice and rehearsals to make Hot Property all it is.     Investing in our team is at the heart of what we do, and we are pleased to share our latest team news. We are celebrating the promotion of Kathryn Dunk to Principal Architect, and have expanded our design team by investing in the next generation. Kathryn’s 25 years of experience and technical and creative expertise are a real asset to Influence. Her ability to apply practical solutions to challenges, her sensitive approach to design, plus strong client relationship skills, are just some of the reasons she has become principal. Many congratulations Kathryn. Over the last 12 months, we have welcomed four design assistants and one administration assistant to Influence. Of which three are graduates and one has joined straight from school after completing A Levels. We have always placed great importance on sharing the landscape architecture profession with young people, and enabling them to access the career with our practice at different stages of education. It is wonderful to be acknowledging talent at a senior level as well as supporting the next generation coming into landscape. #landscapearchitects #landscape #teamnews #promotion #nextgen
