This policy applies to personal information collected through influence.co.uk, our contact form and direct correspondence with Influence. It does not apply to websites operated by other organisations that we may link to.

Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, organisation, phone number, the service you are interested in and your message. We also keep information contained in subsequent correspondence and may receive professional contact details when somebody introduces you to us.
Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device type, request time and pages requested, to deliver and protect the website. If optional analytics is enabled and you consent to it, we may also receive aggregated information about how visitors use the site. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.
How and why we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, discuss possible instructions, provide our services, manage client and professional relationships, maintain business records, protect the website and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting our practice and communicating with clients and professional contacts. Optional analytics is used only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Submitting the contact form does not add you to a marketing mailing list. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Website enquiries
Contact-form submissions are validated by the website and sent to our business inbox. They are not stored in Sanity, our website content management system. The form may use an anti-abuse service to identify automated submissions.
Please do not send confidential project documents or sensitive personal information through the contact form. Contact the studio first if you need to arrange a more appropriate way to share material.
Who receives your information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed with staff and trusted service providers that help us run our business and website. These include Vercel for hosting, Sanity for content management, Resend for contact-form email delivery and Microsoft 365 for business email. Google may process analytics information only where analytics is configured and you have consented. Cloudflare may process limited technical information if its anti-abuse service is enabled.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or another organisation where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal basis for the transfer, such as a UK adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards, and take proportionate steps to protect the information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. The period depends on the nature of the enquiry, whether it develops into a client or professional relationship, our contractual and legal obligations, and whether the information may be needed to resolve a complaint or legal claim.
Technical security records are normally kept for a shorter operational period. Analytics information, where enabled, is retained according to our analytics settings and the cookie lifetimes described in our cookie policy. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.
How we protect information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to reduce the risk of accidental loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people and service providers that need the information for a legitimate purpose. No internet service is completely secure, so please contact us promptly if you believe information has been sent to us in error or may be at risk.
Your rights
Under applicable UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of use, objection to processing or transfer of information you supplied in a portable form. These rights depend on the circumstances and may be subject to lawful exemptions.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
Children and changes to this policy
This professional-services website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The date at the top of the policy shows when it was last revised.
