PostManaging director Sara Boland is at the UK’s leading investor forum UKREiiF this week in Leeds. Everyone has a jam-packed diary of meets and events and Sara is no different. Today’s highlight is the Women in Construction in Lincolnshire (WiCiL) and Nottingham Women In Construction (NWiC) lunch – the first time the two groups have joined forces to create a bigger opportunity at UKREiiF. Influence is a founder of WiCiL and we are proud to be putting our energies into this bold and ambitious group and seeing it thrive on a national stage at UKREiiF. Thanks to sponsors Team Lincolnshire, Willmott Dixon, Hexa Consulting and CPMG Architects. #wicil #teamlincs #teamnotts #womeninconstruction

CarouselAs part of the recent @landscapeinstitute Midlands Branch (LIM) AGM we enjoyed a walk and talk around Allestree Park in Derby to see its rewilding project. Influence did the design and visuals for the project for the @derbyshirewildlifetrust and it was wonderful to see it thriving. We had the opportunity to hear from two speakers, David Wilson, Community Parks Officer at Derby City Council and Kathrine Clarke, Urban Rewilding Lead at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. Great to see Jenny Gay! Thanks to organiser Landscape Institute and to sponsor Marshalls. #rewilding #landscapedesign #landscapevisuals #landscapearchitecture #derby

PostAbout last night… We were honoured to attend the Switch Up annual charity dinner at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. An evening of entertainment, brilliant hosts Vernon Kay and Darren Fletcher, great music, but most importantly, real life stories of significant challenges and massive positive change created by this charity’s huge impact on young people. A staggering £90,000 raised for Switch Up and the incredible work they do. Big thanks to the man himself, founder of the charity Marcellus Baz, and to our kind host John Tansur at Knights .🙏🏼 Also to supporters Chord Consult, Gleeds, Morgan Sindall Construction, SANDBOX. #charitydinner #switchup #switchupdinner #nottingham #landscapearchitect

PostIf you don’t have vision you can’t see and in business, a company without a vision is working blind. Our vision underpins all of our work and the type of work we go for. Landscape is powerful and important in the quality of our lives and for the habitats around where we live and work. #ourvision #landscapedesign #landscapearchitecture #landscapearchitect #businessvision

PostOur landscape manager Issie was asked by The University of Sheffield to contribute to a feature titled 'Realising your potential as a professional Landscape Manager'. Issie completed her Masters in Landscape Management at Sheffield and is an active member of the alumi. The feature is written by the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Uni and discusses why innovative landscape managers are essential for viable, multi-functional landscapes. Issie was asked to discuss her route in getting qualified and being in her role at Influence. “After school, I had chosen to undertake a practical apprenticeship, rather than follow an academic route.” #landscapemanager #landscapedesign #universityofsheffield

PostSo pleased to share that works have officially started on the renovation of Naomi's Garden's new HQ. Naomi's Garden is a Lincolnshire charity providing cognitive therapies to families across the East Midlands who have children with movement or psychological challenges. Having far outgrown their current premises - which was limiting the number of children it could support - the amazing small team of therapists have raised enough funds to secure a new building. Seeing the challenge in finding funds for the renovation to make the building fit for purpose, our MD Sara Boland called on her contacts in the construction industry and managed to secure support from incredible businesses like GBM Demolition, G F Tomlinson, Influence Landscape Planning and Design, APSS, Gleeds, A+G Architects and Knights. 🙏🏼 This week has seen demolition works start by GBM Demolition and we are all so pleased with how far this project has already come and now things are starting to move at the site. Huge well done to all involved and what's to come. 🙌🏽 #naomisgarden #cognitivetherapy #lincolnshire #charitybuild #construction
