    Spelthorne Leisure Centre is a project we’re really proud of. As it nears practical completion, this state-of-the-art centre will be a significant asset to the local community, providing much needed and high-spec sporting and recreational facilities. The leisure centre, which is in Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, boasts an eight-lane swimming pool, a gym, sports hall, soft play, Clip and Climb area and a café. An integral part of the construction team and working alongside @willmottdixon we provided landscape design through to monitoring the landscape implementation onsite. Our landscape proposal helped ground the building in its setting, creating an attractive street scene and visually connecting it with the adjacent Staines Park. We created a series of spaces around the building which are linked to one another and with activities within. She is heading north to Leeds Beckett University to undertake a Masters in Landscape Architecture. To celebrate this, we got the team together and visited the stunning Doddington Hall & Gardens for the sculpture walk. A great place to visit all year, both house, gardens and park, and the scultures are vibrant and thought provoking.     We are delighted to share that works have started on @naomisgardencharity new premises. The Lincs-based charity provides support and therapy to children with movement disorders or psychological challenges. Having outgrown its current centre, a new location has been found and purchased following an incredible fundraising effort from its small team there. Our MD @landscapecorner is supplying landscape services and has brought together other partners from the construction industry who are also kindly giving their services at cost price. Check out these images created by fit-out partner @apss_ltd on how the new interior might look.     Design assistant Lauren has been a key member of our team since she joined us two years ago. Soon she will be heading north to Leeds Beckett University to undertake a Masters in Landscape Architecture. 🌿 Before she goes, we wanted to shine a light on some of her excellent work alongside senior architect Lindsey Arkley, on Oakley Grove School, in Leamington Spa. Over the last 18 months, Lauren has supported on the project, working on the hard and soft landscape plans by drawing up site sections and construction details. She also helped with researching and specifying suitable cycle shelters and bin stores. Currently, Lauren is working through the as-built drawings and helping Lindsey with onsite queries as the construction goes on. On a recent site visit, Lauren said: “It was really interesting to get to see the whole site in person and see everything that I had been drawing on a plan in real life!” Well done Lauren for your skilled work and commitment. 🙏🏽 The all-through school will be complete ready for the 24/25 academic year. #designassistant #leamingtonspa #landscape #landscapearchitect #ladscapedesign

Aimed at graduates, apprentices and assistants in the property and construction sectors, 'NewNet East Midlands' included networking and two inspiring guest speakers, one of which was Dr Marcellus Baz, founder and CEO of charity Switch Up.
