    It's been a year since Sara Boland completed her Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business UK programme for Influence and she recently attended the one year reunion alumni event! Sara, said: "Cohort 19 of the course got together last week, returning to the Goldman Sachs Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, to celebrate one year of being part of this amazing family of the 10SKB Goldman Sachs community. "It was filled with love, fun, learning and joy. We shared the highs and lows, how we have grown and changed over the year, and reconnected with one another. A special thank you to my amazing growth group Kate Clarke, Daniel Blakeman and Nick Leach (we missed you Andrew Mann)." The cohort meets again in November in London.     What a day yesterday at the incredible Team Lincolnshire Annual Conference! MD Sara Boland is on the steering committee for the public/private partnership and organised the ‘Spotlight on Social Value and Circular Economy: Empowering businesses to maximise their wider potential’ panel. Full to the brim of energetic experts in their field, it was a data and heart-driven, thought-providing and impact-inducing conversation. Which most importantly gave ambassadors useful information and tips on how to either bring or enhance social value and the circular economy to their businesses. Many thanks to the panel speakers Martin Hickerton, CEO at Lincoln City Foundation, Caroline Illingworth, Operations & Delivery Manager at Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Julie Holmes, Social Value Manager at Quickline Communications, and Anna Tsartsari, Head of ESG & Sustainability at BE Design. Briliant to also hear from Inward Investment manager at Lincolnshire County Council and Team Lincolnshire lead, Tony Reynolds, on the great deal that has been achieved by Team Lincs over the last 12 months and ambitious plans for the next. Proud to be a part of it.     Have you seen our news? Alongside Chesterfield Canal and River Trust, we were pleased to share that works have now commenced on the next phase of restoration of Chesterfield Canal. We were appointed to produce the Landscape Masterplan, and the design features of the landscape include seating areas, viewing points, areas for families to play, information boards and clear wayfinding. The landscape proposal includes native tree and shrub planting, areas of wildflower meadow, and aquatic planting along the length of the canal. Charlotte, Inga, Ella and Jake joined team members from @gleedsglobal, @bwbconsultingltd, @elliottwood_partnership and Roythornes Solicitors, as well as many others, to take on the day’s challenges, navigating the streets of Nottingham city. It was a fun day for a fantastic cause and Footprints works to transform the lives of children living with disabilities across the East Midlands.     Yesterday Sara attended two interesting events one in Derbyshire and one in East Yorkshire. Firstly, in Castle Donnington, the launch of SHE ROCKS BUSINESS – a new network for female leaders set up by Shakespeare Martineau and @cooper.parry Wealth. The network aims to bring together female leaders through a series of collaborative events, featuring sector-leading speakers and guests. At the launch women’s rights activist, scholar, writer and senior adviser at CARE International Professor Helen Pankhurst CBE inspired, discussing carrying on the incredible Pankhurst legacy, leadership styles and how to engage more women into democracy. The second event was the Hull Property, Construction and Investment Lunch, sponsored by Pagabo and held at the Double Tree by Hilton in the city. Really enjoyable events.     What a day at the CAPS charity golf day yesterday. Sara once again took a team, playing alongside guests Laura Clarks at Knights Stuart Marsland at APSS and Graeme Cooper. Sara even took ladies longest drive ⛳️ The annual event supported PASIC, which provides emotional, social and practical support to families of young people and children with Cancer. The best bit, £8,500 was raised on the day which will enable the charity to continue its incredibly important work. Held at Rushcliffe Golf Club, 20 teams came together for a day on the course followed by an evening meal, where we heard the results and prize giving.     Yesterday we held the fourth Women in Construction in Lincolnshire event (WiCiL), this time at the historic Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. Kindly sponsored by Shakespeare Martineau, we heard from Partner Emma Joy Smith. Our second speaker was co-founder of WiCiL Nick Worboys, Director of Growth, Development and Sales at @longhurstgroup Nick discussed the forthcoming merger between Longhurst and Grand Union Housing and the many opportunities this will provide for the Lincolnshire and wider East Midlands construction supply chain. Both were insightful discussions, and with such a large turnout, WiCiL is really going from strength to strength.     Bradgate Park in Leicestershire is 850 acres of stunning and varied parkland. Today, Kathryn has been invited to a Walk and Talk event at the park by Landscape Institute and led by Bradgate Park Trust director James Dymond. Attendees will enjoy a guided tour of the park followed by networking in the visitor centre. They will hear how the Trust manages the site which has over 750,000 visitors a year The event will also set the scene for the new National Nature Reserve status of the site, including what, why and how, as well as next steps in ensuring appropriate management for the Reserve and challenges in balancing the priorities for nature and historic conservation.     Community spaces play a crucial role in providing residents with a sense of belonging and identity. They offer a place for people to connect, socialise and engage in activities, fostering a sense of community spirit and shared purpose. On behalf of Burton Joyce Parish Council, we are pleased to have created the landscape design for the proposed community garden in the Nottinghamshire village, which is being used for the public consultation. We have produced three concept designs, suggesting different ways that the space could be used by the community to maximise its potential. We wanted to create an accessible space which provides opportunities for casual daily use, a space for events and performances and green space to explore nature through play. We look forward to seeing how the community decides to progress with their new community space. #burtonjoyce #communityspace #communitgarden #landscapedesign
