    Getting to know Mansfield 🗺 A very informative and interesting walk and talk in Mansfield on Thursday evening, organised through the Landscape Institute. Attended by Kathryn, Leonie and Lily on our team, we were brought up to date by Mansfield District Council on its Town Centre Masterplan, Design Codes and Urban Greening Projects, as well as Emerging Schemes that will bring life back to the town centre. As part of the overall vision for the town, Via East Midlands presented the work it has completed recently alongside MDC and Severn Trent Water, including rain gardens to the perimeter of the Market Place and rear of the Town Hall. This was followed by a walk around the town centre to view the completed schemes and locations of the forthcoming projects. Great to see these well considered landscape and public realm interventions being realised in Mansfield! 🙌🏽🌳🌷⛲️ #landscapearchitect #landsacapedesign #mansfield #nottingham #publicrealm

    Future Fest 🙌🏽 We recently exhibited at Future Fest 2025 - a vibrant careers festival dedicated to secondary schools and Post-16 learners across East Lindsey, Boston, and South Holland in Lincolnshire. Taking students out of their familiar school environment to engage with employers and providers about their future possibilities is so thought-provoking in preparation for their next steps, especially for those who live in our more rural and hard to reach areas. Jake was amongst 800 students and teachers at the event from a number of schools and manned the Influence stand, explaining to the students about a career of Landscape Architecture and other areas of the built environment to those interested. 🧑‍🏭 A feel good day of sharing our profession and hearing from interested, ambitious young people. 🤩 #futurefest2025 #careersday #careerstalk #landscape #landscapearchitecture

    Many congratulations Lily 🎓👏🏽 Our newest team member Lily Gavin has just graduated with a First Class MA (Hons) Landscape Architecture. She also received the ESALA (Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture) MA (Hons) Landscape Architecture Prize 2024-2025, awarded to the highest performing student in the programme. What an achievement! 🏆 As well as the Iaian Wylie Travel Award, which is £1,500 towards a self-directed summer trip to visit and experience landscape and cultures abroad, Lily has also been nominated for the European Council of Landscape Architecture student award in recognition, for her graduating project - which was called ‘Petra Nostos: Scotland’s Geopoetic Geopark’. A geopark design inspired by the movement of geopoetics. We heard from truly inspiring and educational voices in the industry including Jill McCarthy, Nick Worboys, Jenna Frudd and Helen Ritchie, connected with brilliant people, and enjoyed a delicious summery spread including strawberries and scones 🍓☕ Huge thanks to the team at Roythornes for informing us on BNG and Contracts, it generated some interesting conversations!     Shona visited our Tower Gardens scheme in Skegness on Friday and loved seeing the community enjoying the new shared spaces during the summertime, following enhancement works. We worked alongside Heritage Lincolnshire, SCAPE, @gftomlinson and @gleedsglobal to aid in the design of the improvements, which included a refurbished pond and railings, better accessibility with re-levelled paths, and a new sensory area around the historic bandstand, planted with help from the local community. #towergardens #skegness #communityspaces #accessibility #greenspaces #sensorygarden

    Lily spent a lovely afternoon at the Marvellous Meadows event at @sheffieldmanorlodge over the weekend 🌼 The meadows were full of inspiring pictorial displays and experimental planting focused on climate resilience. A quick wander around Sheffield Manor Lodge rounded off the visit and she also learnt about Grow Farm - a charity helping young people gain work experience and move into employment through horticulture.
