The project
Oakley Grove, Leamington: Enriched landscape supports future generations to grow in educational setting
Oakley Grove All Through School is a £50m, purpose-built education facility in Leamington Spa, delivered for Warwickshire County Council to accommodate up to 1,620 pupils aged 4–18, including nursery, sixth form and integrated SEND provision. Influence was appointed by Willmott Dixon to lead the landscape design from Stage 3 through to completion, creating a highly inclusive and accessible external environment tailored to a wide range of physical, sensory and cognitive needs.
The scheme overcame challenging site topography through innovative remodelling, delivering safe, legible spaces with integrated ramps, terraces and sensory planting to promote independence and wellbeing.
Extensive outdoor facilities include a 3G pitch, MUGA, grass sports areas, and secure, age-specific external spaces, alongside connections to the adjacent Country Park to encourage active travel and community use.
Designed in accordance with DfE guidance, the project demonstrates best practice in inclusive, sustainable landscape design for modern education environments.
