The project

Loveclough Residential Development: Shaping Homes Through Landscape and Place

Influence has played a key role in the development of a residential scheme at Loveclough, providing landscape planning, design and detailed delivery services across multiple project stages. Initially appointed to support a planning application for up to 80 homes on the southern edge of the village, the team developed a landscape-led strategy that responded carefully to the site’s steep topography and sensitive setting within the Rossendale Valley.

The design integrates public open space and an existing watercourse, creating a cohesive framework that enhances local character while maximising panoramic views across the surrounding pastoral landscape. Particular attention was given to connecting with the established network of Public Rights of Way and shaping legible, accessible spaces within challenging levels.

With the initial phase nearing completion, Influence continues to support subsequent development phases, building on a successful project that has established a long-term collaborative relationship and delivered a high-quality, contextually responsive landscape solution.
