Screen in the Green
Influence were commissioned to provide a landscape and visual appraisal, landscape masterplan and illustrative photomontage in support of a retrospective planning application for an 18 bedroom accommodation block extension to an existing hotel.
The work focused on the impact of the development on visual amenity and the green belt and how effects could be mitigated against through the sensitive use of context informed planting.
Key to the understanding of effects and proposed screening measures was the production of a masterplan and a number of photomontage illustrations which depicted plant growth at 5, 10 and 15 years post establishment.
