Assessing a turbine’s impact on a heritage-rich landscape
Prompted by plans for a wind turbine north of Groby in Leicestershire, Influence were asked to produce a comprehensive Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA). The project involved detailed conversations with English Heritage, our aim: to assess the turbine’s visual impact on heritage features including 15th century Groby Old Hall (a Grade II listed building), and St Philip & St James, a Grade II listed church built on the former site of Groby Castle.
Following a successful process, the planning application was approved.
