Influence were brought in to rapidly turn around a landscape design for a housing development in Leicestershire. The site is located on the edge of the National Forest and takes into account a continuation of the woodland edge into the urban fringe.
Influence produced arboricultural surveys; landscape design and management plans for planting, front of property, attenuation areas and Public Open Space; Hard landscaping details for demarcation of private and access routes.
Street and feature trees provide splashes of vibrant colour throughout the seasons with shrub palette for each area creating a narrative of planting throughout the site from entrance to woodland edge.
Influence were also asked to provide a detailed landscape design and management plan for a large public open space with a ‘LEAP’ (Learning Education And Play) equipment requirement. This design took advantage of site levels, incorporated a formal and informal path intertwining with play equipment helping to form a journey of play, all while naturally surveyed from nearby properties.
The application was granted July 2018.
