Approved – Cadley Park

On Tuesday 19 March 2019, South Derbyshire Council approved the Reserved Matters for the £87m development of 400 new homes at Cadley Park in Swadlincote. The site, extending to approximately 200 acres, was formerly known as Cadley Hill Colliery.  Closure of the Colliery in 1988 marked the end of deep coal mining in South Derbyshire.

Influence have been working, on behalf of Avant Homes in conjunction with Pegasus Group, to develop the landscaping proposals for four parcels of residential land which will deliver a mix of properties, 66 of which will be affordable.

Set within the National Forest, the wider Cadley Park development will deliver 600 new homes, and includes a country park, a golf course and 4,000 sq ft of commercial/leisure development.

Work on the development will begin in April with the overall build expected to take five and half years. The show village will be completed by October 2019 and the first properties ready for occupation towards the end of the year.

We wish Avant Homes, a regular client of ours, every success with the scheme.
